  • Book multiple safaris and plan to stay at least 2-3 days for higher chances of sighting.
  • You cannot use mobile phones to click pictures inside the national park. If possible, get a camera with a zoom lens.
  • It is going to be really dusty inside the park. Please bring a scarf to cover your hair and mask to cover your nose and mouth.
  • If you are visiting in winter, morning and night safaris are going to be cold. Do not forget to carry a light jacket.
  • There’s usually one rest stop midway during the safari. Plan accordingly.
  • Carry some snacks in case you get hungry midway.
CENTRAL CORE ZONES
  • Tadoba Zone: Extends from Kolara and Navegaon Gates.
  • Moharli Zone: The busiest and probably the oldest zone in Tadoba National Park. It has two core gates: Moharli and Khutwanda.
  • Kolsa Zone: Extends from Zari and Pungadi Gates.

There are 4 zones in Tadoba each with their core and buffer gates. These are the Moharli Zone (M), Navegaon Zone (N), Kolara Zone (K), Pangadi and Zari Zone (PZ). Moharli Zone is Navegaon and Kolara have one each. PZ zone has two core gates. In total, there are 6 core gates in Tadoba.

Have a look at the table below for an idea on how many safaris or safari vehicles are available at each of these gates. Note that as many as 16 gypsies enter through the Moharli gate every time.

Please note that no night safaris are available at any of Tadoba’s core gates.

M Moharli Gate 16 16
M Khutwanda Gate 5 5
N Navegaon Gate 5 5

Pangada and Zari Gates actually take you to a very different region of TATR called the Kolsa region. This is the new and upcoming.

BUFFER GATES OF TADOBA

Each of the 4 Tadoba zones has its own buffer gates. Junona Gate in Moharli and Palasgaon Gate in Kolara are the only ones with night safaris.

We have noticed that it is not very difficult to get a jungle safari booking at the buffer gates of Tadoba. That’s why, you do not need to plan too much in advance.

Have a look at the table below for a brief idea on the numbers.

Photography

Hard-core photographers need to carry extra belongings when they are set for an inner core venture of the jungle. As teak trees occupy the wilderness, they are too long and massive, often decreasing the entrance of sunlight inside the jungle. But in some of the zones, the jungle bestows massive flows of sunlight where photography can be taken in the best mood and pictures become beautiful of the wildlife.

Thrilling Wildlife

The wildlife is found in abundance at Tadoba National Park. That is why the jeep ride is owed to the tourists to make your trip unforgettable with a better guide to making it thrilling and adventurous. You should consult your guide and plead for a special request for viewing some bird species or have any specific choice of animals or birds.

Clothes Items

Wear a mask when heading inside the jungle; it protects you from the viruses and dust inside the park. If you are coming in the summer season, try to wear cotton clothes to beat the heat of the summer. When arriving in the winter, carry sweaters, jackets, and mufflers, which are very useful when selecting the morning safari ride.

Network & Communications

Getting proper networks is very tough at Moharli Gate is very rare. Getting a good network connection inside the park takes a lot of work. However, this issue raises huge problems for tourists who always use the internet and phones. Regardless, this article benefits beginners who want to come to Tadoba National Park for the first time. A convenient permissible tip for the tourists and the guide is given in simple form for better understanding, and a person is not misguided anywhere when traveling to Tadoba.

HOW CAN YOU BECOME A RESPONSIBLE TRAVELLER?
Here are some pointers to help you start travelling sustainably

1. SELECTING A GREEN FORM OF TRANSPORTATION

When travelling, take the train or bus rather than an airplane. If you have no other option but to fly, make sure it is a direct flight to minimise its carbon imprint. 2.4% of carbon emissions are believed to come from aviation. Alternate your modes of transportation, and be careful to go slowly. When it comes to shorter distances, try cycling and walking as these activities will also provide you with a sort of workout.

2. CHOOSE TRADITIONAL HANDICRAFTS

As opposed to shopping in a mall or airport store, buying locally is better for the environment. You have a favourable financial effect on the community. Their homemade goods are not only a unique souvenir for your house, but they are also less priced.

3. SUPPORT LOCAL HOTELS AND CAFES

Locally-owned restaurants will give you the taste of a local cuisine which you might try for the first time. While locals shop at their local market, hotels typically get their ingredients from large corporations. By eating in one of their hotels, you’re minimising your carbon footprint.

4. PACK THE APPROPRIATE NUMBER OF OUTFITS

Try to pack with the clothing you currently own rather than going on a buying binge. Human clothing that is owned by people ends up in landfills in 73% of cases. Don’t allow items to go to waste. Give them to neighbours or sell them on a platform for thrift stores if you buy anything you won’t use again.

5. GO ON A GUIDED WILDLIFE EXPLORATION

This is majorly enjoyable bucket list material. Make sure your wildlife expert is qualified, prioritises the comfort of the animals, and is familiar with the specifics of the local habitat. During the safari, don’t push the driver to take you closer to the animals. Allow the animals to relax and take it easy while you enjoy yourself.

6. CHOOSING A GREEN ACCOMMODATION

Make sure to pick a hotel that uses green practices when you are on vacation. In order to choose a hotel and the various amenities it offers, you won’t need as many toiletries, water bottles, or meal packets if you reduce, reuse, and recycle them. Verify the policies and procedures of the hotel, but make sure you are according to a sustainable style.

7. A STRICT NO TO PLASTIC

Ideally, you shouldn’t leave any trash behind you. You shouldn’t carry single-use plastic either because it contributes significantly to trash and pollution. Utilising plastic-free products and using your own cloth bag are two examples of travelling sustainably.

8. INTERACT WITH LOCALS

Discover a whole region, interact with the people there; this will only make your journey more interesting, enjoyable, and, most importantly, sustainable.
