ITINERARY

DAY 1 ARRIVAL IN DEHRADUN

  • Your spiritual journey begins with a warm welcome upon arrival at Dehradun Airport /
    Railway Station.
  • Pickup service is provided from Dehradun (Airport/Railway Station).
You will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay in
Dehradun, along with a delicious dinner to help you relax and prepare for the Char Dham
    Yatra ahead.
  • Tour Briefing and Duffel Bag: There will be a tour briefing by our team in the evening, and it is important for all guests to attend. During this session, we will give you a duffel bag to pack your important items for the helicopter journey.
  • Dehradun will be the starting and ending point of your Char Dham Helicopter Yatra.
  • Note: Each person is allowed to carry a maximum of 5 kg of luggage. Our team will
also check and record your body weight during the briefing. So, your presence is
    necessary.

DAY 2HEADING TO MAA YAMUNOTRI

  • The Char Dham Helicopter Yatra begins with a flight from Sahastradhara Helipad to Kharsali
    Helipad.
  • Upon arrival at Kharsali, our ground staff will warmly receive you and assist with the transfer hotel and to Yamunotri Temple. The temple is approximately 6 km from Kharsali and will be reached by palanquins arranged for all pilgrims.
  • The sacred Darshan at Yamunotri Temple takes approximately 5 hours and 30 minutes for the round trip, with a 6-kilometre trek one way through serene Himalayan trails
  • Sightseeing: Visit Hot spring near Yamunotri Temple, seek blessings at the Yamuna Mata Temple, and pay homage at the ancient Shani Temple
  • Kindly Note: Kharsali is the most remote and less developed among the Char Dham destinations; hence, accommodation here will be modest and basic in nature.

DAY 3HEADING TO MAA GANGOTRI

  • On the third day, you will fly from Kharsali Helipad to Harsil, a beautiful and scenic valley in
Uttarakhand, often referred to as the “Mini-Switzerland” of India.
  • From the Harsil Helipad, the Gangotri Temple is approximately 25 km away, and the drive
    takes around 50 minutes.
  • Our ground staff will accompany and assist you throughout your visit to the Gangotri
Temple. After completing the darshan, you will return to Harsil for an overnight stay,
just around 2 km from the helipad.
  • Sightseeing: Harsil also has many nearby nature-walks to explore.

DAY 4HEADING TO KEDARNATH

  • On the fourth day, you will fly from Harsil to Guptkashi/Phata/ Sirsil.
  • Upon arrival, you will board a shuttle helicopter to Kedarnath Temple. After completing the
darshan at the sacred shrine, you will return to Phata/ Sirsil/ Gupthkashi for an overnight
    stay at a hotel.
  • Due to the limited weight-carrying capacity of helicopter at high-altitude
destinations like Kedarnath, passengers may be ferried on different shuttle flights.

DAY 5HEADING TO BADRINATH

On the fifth day, you will fly from Phata/Guptkashi to Badrinath. Upon arrival, our ground staff
will assist you with the darshan at the sacred Badrinath Temple.
If time permits, you can also explore Mana Village — the first village after the Indo-China border.
Nearby attractions include: Vyas Gufa, Draupadi temple, Bhim pull, and the origin of the
Saraswati River, also known as “Mukh.”
Conclude the day with an overnight stay at Badrinath.
Aarti or special Pooja at the Badrinath Temple can be arranged upon request, at an additional
supplementary cost. Guests are required to make the payment directly at Badrinath. Please note,
extra vehicle charges will also be applicable.

DAY 6RETURN TO DEHRADUN

  • On the sixth and final day, you will fly back to Dehradun.
  • Upon arrival at the helipad, our team will assist you with a transfer to your hotel in
    Dehradun to collect your luggage.
  • You will then be dropped off at the Airport or Railway Station, marking the conclusion of
    your unforgettable helicopter tour.
  • Railway station/Airport / Dehradun Hotel drop off facility available only one time on the
    same day of return
  • We hope you return with cherished memories from this divine journey.

Note – Passengers are advised to book evening flights/Trains departing after 06:00PM,while returning back from Dehradun as due to weather/Operational reasons there might be delay in reaching back Badrinath to Dehradun.

HOW CAN YOU BECOME A RESPONSIBLE TRAVELLER?
Here are some pointers to help you start travelling sustainably

1. SELECTING A GREEN FORM OF TRANSPORTATION

When travelling, take the train or bus rather than an airplane. If you have no other option but to fly, make sure it is a direct flight to minimise its carbon imprint. 2.4% of carbon emissions are believed to come from aviation. Alternate your modes of transportation, and be careful to go slowly. When it comes to shorter distances, try cycling and walking as these activities will also provide you with a sort of workout.

2. CHOOSE TRADITIONAL HANDICRAFTS

As opposed to shopping in a mall or airport store, buying locally is better for the environment. You have a favourable financial effect on the community. Their homemade goods are not only a unique souvenir for your house, but they are also less priced.

3. SUPPORT LOCAL HOTELS AND CAFES

Locally-owned restaurants will give you the taste of a local cuisine which you might try for the first time. While locals shop at their local market, hotels typically get their ingredients from large corporations. By eating in one of their hotels, you’re minimising your carbon footprint.

4. PACK THE APPROPRIATE NUMBER OF OUTFITS

Try to pack with the clothing you currently own rather than going on a buying binge. Human clothing that is owned by people ends up in landfills in 73% of cases. Don’t allow items to go to waste. Give them to neighbours or sell them on a platform for thrift stores if you buy anything you won’t use again.

5. GO ON A GUIDED WILDLIFE EXPLORATION

This is majorly enjoyable bucket list material. Make sure your wildlife expert is qualified, prioritises the comfort of the animals, and is familiar with the specifics of the local habitat. During the safari, don’t push the driver to take you closer to the animals. Allow the animals to relax and take it easy while you enjoy yourself.

6. CHOOSING A GREEN ACCOMMODATION

Make sure to pick a hotel that uses green practices when you are on vacation. In order to choose a hotel and the various amenities it offers, you won’t need as many toiletries, water bottles, or meal packets if you reduce, reuse, and recycle them. Verify the policies and procedures of the hotel, but make sure you are according to a sustainable style.

7. A STRICT NO TO PLASTIC

Ideally, you shouldn’t leave any trash behind you. You shouldn’t carry single-use plastic either because it contributes significantly to trash and pollution. Utilising plastic-free products and using your own cloth bag are two examples of travelling sustainably.

8. INTERACT WITH LOCALS

Discover a whole region, interact with the people there; this will only make your journey more interesting, enjoyable, and, most importantly, sustainable.
