Embark on one of the most sacred and spiritually enriching journeys in the world the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. This pilgrimage takes you to the abode of Lord Shiva, where every step brings you closer to the divine and offers a profound sense of peace and enlightenment.
This 9-night, 10-day journey via the shortest route is a challenging expedition rather than a luxury tour, taking you across some of the world’s highest altitudes, including the Dolma La Pass at 5,630 meters. Pilgrims should be prepared for basic accommodations, simple meals, and shared facilities in Tibet.
Despite the challenges, this yatra promises an unforgettable spiritual experience, breathtaking landscapes, and a journey that will leave a lasting impression on both heart and soul.
Your spiritual journey begins with your arrival at Lucknow Airport, where our representative will greet you. From here, you will be transferred by road to Nepalgunj, a gateway town in western Nepal, located about four hours away. After check-in at your hotel, the rest of the evening is free for rest and personal activities, at 07:30PM we will have group briefing for yatra, before we embark on the sacred journey. Overnight stay in Nepalganj.
Note: Early arrival in Lucknow is recommended.

Early in the morning, you will take a short but scenic flight from Nepalgunj to Simikot, a remote town surrounded by the Himalayan ranges (50 mins flight). Accessible only by air, Simikot is also an important acclimatization stop before entering Tibet. You will spend the day here resting and preparing for the altitude. Overnight stay in Simikot.

Flights can get delayed or Canceled too due to bad weather which are not in our control. If flight is canceled one can go to Bardia National Park for day trip on their own cost. Early check in at hotel in is subject to availability / multiple sharing rooms or non-attached bathroom rooms also provided some time if over crowded.
After breakfast, we proceed to Simikot airport and board a helicopter for a short yet thrilling ,20-minute ride to Hilsa, situated on the Nepal–Tibet border. From Hilsa, a brief walk takes us to the immigration office to complete border formalities. Once cleared, you will meet our Tibetan team and continue by vehicle to Purang (Taklakot), a small town in Tibet. Overnight stay in Taklakot.

This day takes us closer to the spiritual heart of the journey. After breakfast, we drive for about one and a half hours, covering 88 km, to reach the sacred Lake Mansarovar. Considered the holiest of lakes in Hinduism, Lake Mansarovar is believed to cleanse sins and elevate the soul. Here, you will begin the Parikrama of the lake by vehicle and enjoy the serene energy of the surroundings. Overnight stay in a guesthouse near the Lake Mansarovar.

Note: If you need to Hire a Pony/Porter for Parikrama Do inform our local guide on this day so they can arrange it accordingly, sometimes it could be difficult to get the pony due to high demand and we shall not be responsible for that.
Stay: It will be very basic multiple sharing non-attached bathroom accommodation
The morning is devoted to spiritual rituals on the banks of Lake Mansarovar. Pilgrims may take a holy dip, perform pooja, havan, or meditation, and soak in the divine vibrations of the lake. After these sacred activities, we drive past the mystical Rakshas Tal and continue to Darchen, which can be considered as the base camp of Mount Kailash. Here we rest overnight, preparing for the most awaited part of the pilgrimage – the Kailash Parikrama. Overnight stay in Darchen.

Today is the day we all are waiting for, after breakfast you will be provided with packed lunch in a plastic bag which you have to carry on your own with very limited option, first we drive to Yama war which is like 15-20 minutes’ drive and the starting point of Parikrama. Day 1 of Parikrama will be comparatively easy walk of 12km which might take 4 to 6hrs depending upon every individual, one the way get Darshan of Kailash Parwat , reach diraphuk with devotion filled heart. Overnight stay in dormitory in Diraphuk.
Note: Those who cannot do Parikrama will stay at Darchen Hotel with some additional cost
If allowed one can visit Astapad, from one can have very good Darshan of South Face & Ashtapad is a place where first Jain Tirthankara Guru Rishavdev jI got enlightenment

Today will be the most difficult day of our Yatra, as we have to walk 22km crossing through the highest pass in the world “Dolma La Pass” at an altitude of 5630Meters from sea Lever. Out of 22km walk first 8 to 10km will be tough but once we cross Dolma La Pass and reach to first tea house then it will be easy walk till Zuthulphuk. Overnight stay in dormitory in Zuthulphuk.

After breakfast, we complete the final trek of the Kailash Parikrama with a three-hour, 8 km trek to Chongdo, where vehicles will be waiting. From here, we return to Darchen to reunite with those who did not participate in the trek. After lunch, we drive towards the Nepal border, if time permits, we will clear immigration formalities, and cross back into Hilsa. If it is not possible then we will stay at Taklakot. Overnight stay in Hilsa or Taklakot.

In the morning, we fly from Simikot to Nepalgunj. This day is kept flexible to account for weather-related delays in flights. On arrival in Nepalgunj, the rest of the day is free to relax. Overnight stay in Nepalgunj.

After breakfast, we drive back to Lucknow for your onward journey, bringing your spiritual pilgrimage to a close. With memories of Lake Mansarovar, Mount Kailash, and the divine experiences along the way, this journey will remain etched in your heart forever.

When travelling, take the train or bus rather than an airplane. If you have no other option but to fly, make sure it is a direct flight to minimise its carbon imprint. 2.4% of carbon emissions are believed to come from aviation. Alternate your modes of transportation, and be careful to go slowly. When it comes to shorter distances, try cycling and walking as these activities will also provide you with a sort of workout.
As opposed to shopping in a mall or airport store, buying locally is better for the environment. You have a favourable financial effect on the community. Their homemade goods are not only a unique souvenir for your house, but they are also less priced.
Locally-owned restaurants will give you the taste of a local cuisine which you might try for the first time. While locals shop at their local market, hotels typically get their ingredients from large corporations. By eating in one of their hotels, you’re minimising your carbon footprint.
Try to pack with the clothing you currently own rather than going on a buying binge. Human clothing that is owned by people ends up in landfills in 73% of cases. Don’t allow items to go to waste. Give them to neighbours or sell them on a platform for thrift stores if you buy anything you won’t use again.
This is majorly enjoyable bucket list material. Make sure your wildlife expert is qualified, prioritises the comfort of the animals, and is familiar with the specifics of the local habitat. During the safari, don’t push the driver to take you closer to the animals. Allow the animals to relax and take it easy while you enjoy yourself.
Make sure to pick a hotel that uses green practices when you are on vacation. In order to choose a hotel and the various amenities it offers, you won’t need as many toiletries, water bottles, or meal packets if you reduce, reuse, and recycle them. Verify the policies and procedures of the hotel, but make sure you are according to a sustainable style.
